The Right Tools For The Job
We Utilize State-Of-The-Art Lasers and Cooling Equipment For Tattoo Removal

Picosecond and Nanosecond Laser Equipment Featured
Tattoo Removal Pro Shop is enthusiastic to keep up-to-date as new technologies evolve in tattoo removal laser equipment.
Different factors are taken into consideration when choosing the right “tool for the job.” Differences in the colors used in body art, age/depth of the tattoo and skin pigmentation dictate the type of equipment used to provide the most effective way to conduct the laser treatment session.
Advances In Technology
Old Versus New Lasers Compared
The old laser technology used for tattoo removal was known as the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. This laser emitted light in short pulses, with each pulse lasting just a few nanoseconds. The laser energy would be absorbed by the tattoo ink particles, causing them to break apart into smaller fragments. These smaller fragments would then be removed by the body’s immune system over time.
Newer laser technologies have been developed since then, including the picosecond and nanosecond lasers. These lasers use even shorter pulse durations, measured in picoseconds or even femtoseconds, which are much shorter than the nanosecond pulses of the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser.
The main advantage of these newer lasers is that they can break up the tattoo ink into even smaller particles, which can be eliminated more easily by the body’s immune system. This means that fewer treatment sessions may be required to achieve the desired results.
Another advantage of the newer laser technologies is that they can target a wider range of tattoo ink colors, including lighter colors such as yellow and green, which were more difficult to remove with the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser.
Overall, while the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser was effective for tattoo removal, the newer laser technologies offer improved results and fewer side effects. However, it’s important to note that the effectiveness of tattoo removal depends on various factors, including the size, color, and age of the tattoo, as well as the individual’s skin type and other factors. A consultation with a qualified dermatologist or laser technician can provide more personalized information about the best laser treatment options for tattoo removal.
During Your Session
Special Cooling Provided For Your Comfort

Tattoo Removal Pro Shop uses some of the following cooling methods during tattoo removal procedures to help ease discomfort based upon your individual assessment:
- Numbing cream: Topical numbing creams can be applied to the skin before the laser treatment to prepare the skin for the tattoo removal procedure.
- Ice packs: Applying ice packs to the treated area before and after the procedure can help numb the skin and reduce potential inflammation.
- Cryo cooling: This involves using a handheld device that emits a burst of freezing air to cool the skin before, during, and after the laser treatment.
- Zimmer cooling: This method uses a device called the Zimmer Cryo 6 that blows cold air onto the skin before and during the laser treatment. This helps to numb the skin and reduce discomfort.
- Contact cooling: Some laser machines have a built-in cooling system that sprays a cold liquid onto the skin during the procedure.
